Meet Dr. Payal Verma

Dr. Payal Verma is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon who practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.  She completed her OMFS training at the University of Cincinnati. Her training included general anesthesia/sedation, including a pediatric anesthesia rotation at the distinguished Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, dentoalveolar and complex implant surgery, bone grafting and reconstruction, orthognathic/corrective jaw surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, pathology, and trauma surgery. 

She graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania with honors in community service and an induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honorary Dental Society. Dr. Verma completed her Masters of Public Health at Bloomberg School of Public Health – Johns Hopkins University where her research was focused on head and neck cancers and a postdoctoral research fellowship at the prestigious National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. At NIH, she worked with patients with rare craniofacial disorders and syndromes. She also volunteered her time with the Operation Smile and Smile Train mission for cleft and craniofacial disorders. Dr. Verma has been heavily involved in craniofacial research, having presented several abstracts and posters, and is well-published in peer-reviewed journals. 

Dr. Verma prides herself on delivering the highest quality and compassionate surgical care to her patients. Patient safety and comfort are of utmost priority for her. Dr. Verma’s practice is focused on the areas of I.V. Sedation, dentoalveolar, complex dental implants and bone grafting, trauma, oral pathology, TMJ as well as orthognathic surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and adventure sports.
